A couple of weeks ago I was invited to escape the city with Volvo, and Whilst it could possibly sound like I was driving around, (because I can do that since I’ve passed my test!), it was more about escaping the things associated with city life and stresses.
Maybe it’s just being in such a busy city, and being constantly busy, that makes me feel like I need to slow down and escape the hustle and bustle. But checking out the pop-up studio was something that was definitely needed. Set up right in the middle of one of the busiest areas of London, Canary Wharf, the Scandinavian-inspired sanctuary encapsulated everything that the new Volvo XC60 SUV embodies – a warm, clutter-free environment and a sense of relaxing calm.
The studio offered a range of activities were free and you could easily walk in off the street for any of the experiences. I opted to attend a guided meditation session which was meant to help with unwinding from a potentially stressful week, something I’ve definitely felt like I’ve had to do for the past couple of months.
Whilst most people would usually associate meditation with chanting, it was all about raising your awareness, and by the end of the 30-minute session I was actually feeling pretty damn good, thoroughly rejuvenated and ready to start the weekend.
