Bits for my holiday | #1 facial stuff

Yes, I’ve mentioned this a few times before but I’m totally getting holiday vibes now that the weather is getting better. I’m usually rally lazy and always doing things at the very last minute, so I’ve decided to stay ahead of the game and get start getting myself a bit organised over the next couple of months, starting with a few facial bits.

First and foremost – all day everyday maintenance.

I’ve been using this ELEMIS White Brightening Even Tone collection for well over a year now and I just can’t be without it. I usually have the full size collection but for travel purposes I’ve gone with this mini set – which I’ve had before and lasted for about two months. These three things are proven to reduce dark spots, age spots and existing imperfections, rid the skin of impurities and leave the skin looking brighter and visibly more even.

What’s in the set? White Brightening Even Tone Cleanser (50ml) White Brightening Even Tone Lotion (28ml) Advanced Brightening Even Tone Serum (10ml)

These three things are proven to reduce dark spots, age spots and existing imperfections, rid the skin of impurities and leave the skin looking brighter and visibly more even.

I had the privilege of speaking with ELEMIS Beauty Expert, Keeley Aydin, who also told me that I when using this collection I had to make sure I always used SPF 30 everyday (yes, even when it’s not sunny). So I have also invested in some Ultrasun, they literally have sun protection for everyone for all things. It took me a while of ‘tried and tested’ before I came across this brand, and I’ve never gone back. I also use their SPF 50 for all over body (but that post is coming).

My face cream of choice is still the L’OCCITANE Shea Light Comforting Cream. I wrote about this and some of the things in the Shea face collection here. I’ve been using this Light cream throughout winter and this 50ml tub has only reached the halfway mark. A little really does go a long way with this cream.

For the flight

High altitude + air con = dehydration

I’ve recently got my hands on a couple of STARSKIN products* that I’m bringing on the flight to make sure I still have some moisture in my face when we land – a RED CARPET READY face mask and some Eye-Catcher eye masks. Both are suitable for all skin types and moulds like a second skin so you won’t get that awkward feeling like something is just sitting on your face. All over face rejuvenation because let’s face it long-haul flights can really take it out of you.

Anytime. Anywhere

ABC (Australian Bodycare) is a staple thing in our house, and I mean “if you open any of our bathroom cupboards you’re going to come across it” staple. Their products are made with Tea Tree Oil a natural, but strong, antiseptic that also happens to be really refreshing after a hot day or if you need to unwind. I’m packing the pack of 24 travel wipes because it’s perfume, alcohol and Paraben Free and can be used on your face. Perfect for when you start to get hot.

Now that I think about it, I’d probably call these my desert island products too!

Well, hi there!

I’ve never been one for ‘about me’ pages so let's keep it short and sweet: I'm 25 (so I guess you could assume I'm going through a quarter-life crisis), London-based, love food, oh, and partial to a rum-based drink... or just the rum tbh.
