You know how I love my nail varnish? At the end of January I was lucky to be invited to the Barry M SS16 showcase to see what new amazingness they were going to launch bring out for Spring/Summer.
They have a few loads of new things including a new range of Gellys and Speedy Dry colours that are perfect for the transition period between the wet gloomy weather and the first few weeks of Spring.
My favourite set was the Sunset Daylight Curing range! So I had all that drama with that gel manicure kit I had before – fine to get on but an absolute pain to get off – so this range is perfect for me! It literally is how it is advertised “High Shine, Long Lasting Pro Gels without the lamp” which means it comes off just as easy as it goes on.
The colours: Bug A Blue*, Empire State Of Mint*, Pinking Out Loud* and All The Things She Red*. Of course you can’t forget about the specially designed Daylight Curing Topcoat* either which is a must have to get the full effect and perfect finish. It’s rare that I apply a top coat, just because I’m lazy, but this top coat really does help keep the colours on and my nails stayed un-chipped for nearly a week and a half that was only because I broke a nail.
The colours are so pretty my dad actually suggested keeping them on a shelf and not use them – he must be crazy. You have probably noticed that my favourite colour is blue so naturally I’m drawn to Bug A Blue but I think Empire State of Mint looks too good to ever pass up on.

I’ve never been one for ‘about me’ pages so let's keep it short and sweet: I'm 25 (so I guess you could assume I'm going through a quarter-life crisis), London-based, love food, oh, and partial to a rum-based drink... or just the rum tbh.
